Apples and fall just seem to go together. We had fun playing 'Ring Around the Apple Tree', and learning the simple math skill of adding by having students place a stem on each foam apple cutout and then a leaf on each stem. Making our own apple trees during our art center was also a big hit, and we loved playing at our water table investigating what happens to apples when we manipulate them in water for science.
